Southwest Ohio's Grab Bar Experts
Did you know that falls are the leading cause of emergency room visits among adults 65 or older?
Properly installed grab bars can prevent falls at doorways, on steps and, most importantly, in bathrooms. Never be afraid to take a shower again! Click here for some "Facts about Falls".
Who should I get to install my grab bars?
Many people will turn to someone who does not install bars on a regular basis, such as a plumber or handyman. A grab bar not only needs to be secure enough to help a person with balance, but it must also stay secure in the event of a fall. During a fall, the falling force placed on the bar is more than double the person's weight. While a grab bar may feel very secure to the touch, if it is installed incorrectly it will not support a person's falling force. The problem is that many people don't know their bars are installed poorly until it's too late.
We are able to achieve a proper installation on nearly all types of wall surfaces, including:
- Ceramic & porcelain tile
- Fiberglass & acrylic surrounds & inserts
- Masonite
- Faux or cultured marble
- Poured concrete, concrete block, cinder block and brick
- Drywall
- Plaster
- Plywood
- Walls with wood or steel studs
- Walls without studs!
